Afterbirther Nation: A Civil Disagreement Meets The Born Identity
Conservative Refocus
By Barry Secrest
The joke goes something to the effect of ”Can you name the three differences between God and Obama?” The answers are “Neither have a birth certificate, God is satisfied with 10%, and God doesn’t think he’s Obama.”
So, can we finally stow these compelling “Birther” jokes away, now? The answer to that question appears to be just as complex and mystifyingly layered as Obama’s long-form birth certificate itself. While the US has now received multiple warnings from international financial agencies, domestic ratings agencies, and even the Chairman of the Federal Reserve himself, the Beltway crowd still doesn’t seem to be comprehending the message that needs to get through on both spending and the debt limit. While large numbers of both the politico and the pundit sects have actually renounced the Birther issue as a ridiculous distraction, it has albeit secretly, been lauded by many as welcome, in truth.
But, the fact remains that on August 4th, 1961, a tiny infant came into the world in what everyone can agree was a rather exotic location, regardless of actual longitude. Little, however, could the parents of this particular child have known that almost a half century later, the geopolitical location of this particular infant’s birthplace would have such far-reaching implications. The fact that one of the most powerful nations on earth would lay factionally, if not neglectfully, divided as a result of an otherwise humble birth, could not possibly have been foreseen, or even imagined, at the time.
A Shock To The System
Also in 1961, another young boy, born to a wealthy family in Queens, New York was also coming into his own after being forced to attend a military academy by his parents. Born in 1946, this unruly child was destined to, nearly effortlessly, remain in the public eye for a large part of his life, while also sparking a great deal of controversy at his enduring lack of political correctness and stubborn resilience. Here again, no one could have known that this aggressive young boy would later carve out his own place in the world, while commanding enough respect to monumentally affect the former child’s actions, as leader of the Free World, despite their origins being half a world apart.
On Wednesday, April 27th, the seasoned version of one of these two children, President Barack Obama, shocked the nation and suddenly released what was reported to be his original birth certificate in direct response to the other child’s, prospective Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s, repeated demands. While many within the Democratic Party and the media slumped in stealthy relief, the large opposition group who had initially raised this issue immediately noticed that something might, indeed, be wrong, as millions of screens went herringbone green all over America and the rest of the world to a lesser extent.
You see, the abstract insult of either the taking or the keeping of something, away from its rightful owner, only to finally give it back broken, seemed to be the overall sympathy at play within a now terribly wounded American psyche, as many a practiced eye squinted in expectant disbelief. The certificate, to those who wished to see, was not at all the replica that is considered typical when any American is asked to both retrieve and present his or her birth certificate. The technical aspects of this to be addressed later.
But, the particular reasons for a now-wounded civil society are many, if not myriad, one should powerfully note. The oft repeated cynical mantra coming from anyone left-of-center, has continually seemed to focus squarely on the slandering charge of racism when any form of criticism, for any reason, was launched at this President. Even more interestingly, these charges of racism have not been limited to only the lowest common denominators of the leftward movement, but rather have come from the very peaks of Liberaldom’s leadership. Even very recently, the moderately well-respected journalist Bob Schieffer leveled the charge of racism at Donald Trump for his questioning of Obama’s educational performance, if not birth origins.
When Affirmative Action Become Political Censure
Interestingly, the majority of Democrats who had questioned George W. Bush’s educational performance, to our knowledge, were never leveled with the charge of racism by their opposites. Well, that would be silly! One might respond–to which, we would rebut, “then how is this other not silly?” It, in fact, would appear that Affirmative Action has now reached a whole new level of unintended scope, if this is our new reality.
The charges of racism disingenuously wrapped in the bunting of political censure have been present and have even been offered up as the primary motivation for any number of presidential policy criticisms since day one of Obama’s election–and even before. Obamacare, the birth certificate, Cap and Trade, redistribution, Socialism, virtually any question regarding the President’s past or his policies have always been left smoldering at the door of racism by the same Obama political proponents.
But another very large and very lucid reason for the American public’s “Birther” anxiety has come, not just from the dismissiveness of the anti-American Left, nor from just the scalding intimidation of the Progressive media, and certainly not just from the Liberals actually in Government, no indeed. In this case none other than some of the most vocal leaders of the Conservative movement have leveled charges at their own followers, calling “those who have questions” names ranging from “circus barkers” to “wacky fringe movements.”
The Blaming Of The Shrews
Surprisingly, the caustically vocal Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter, two women who have always commanded our respect, despite a great deal of their oft considered lunatic ravings by the Left, have essentially insulted a large number of normal Americans from their acid denigration against those who simply ask the birth certificate question. Are we to assume that these two lovely ladies hold the sole authoritative positions for coming up with “nutty” conspiracy theories? The answer must now be “apparently.”
In this case, however, and going against our normal traditions, we were meaningfully surprised. It’s more than fine if our Conservative Consuela’s do not always agree with us; however, these two have picked up squarely where the mainstream media leaves off when they begin denigrating the positions of a large number of Americans who simply do not know, one way or the other.
Both Malkin and Colter, it’s quite interesting to note, have been at the forefront of insisting that virtually everything from the Left, and more specifically Obama, are nothing but lies built upon lies, to which we cannot disagree one bit at this point. But then, a material issue comes along which simply reeks of duplicity, and which has also raised extreme doubt among the masses, only to mysteriously dissolve into a non-issue for our two honored champions of the nay-sayers, which also reeks, in my opinion.
In fact, Colter and Malkin have often indirectly raised cain and lashed into their fanbases for Birther offenses only to get predictably creamed by their fans in retaliative response. Fanbases which, by the way, have been listening too and reading their columns for a significant number of years. My question to these fine two Conservative Authors would simply be, “well, what in the hell did you expect” at your readers’ acid reaction to your responses, Hmm?
A Friendly Game of Birther Ball
In fact, the various Conservative personality positions in the ongoing Birther question made for some very strange bedfellows, as the conspiracy has only seemed to intensify over the last two years. Interestingly, the Conservatives whom I frequently find myself in agreement with, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, were “largely” inside the camp of “seeing-is-believing” logic with both myself and a large number of Americans. Also in attendance with we–the skeptics–among many others, were Donald Trump of course, Mark Levin, Newt Gingrich, Michael Savage, Sarah Palin, Alex Jones and Lou Dobbs who each, at some or many points, proffered a position of skepticism based upon simply not having seen the blasted thing. Well…that along with having heard a jaw-dropping number of the damning details surrounding the issue.
In the detractors camp we have Bill O’Reilly who called the issue “dopey,” Michelle Malkin calls it a “birther-circus,” Ann Coulter says that birthers are “just a few cranks,” Glenn Beck called the issue “the dumbest thing I ever heard of,” Laura Ingraham called the birthers “crazy,” Charles Krauthammer called it “an insane trip,” nearly all RINO’s signed up with this crowd by the way–the list is long, exemplary and impressive. Amazed so far? Now, does this mean that any of us should now despise these detractors and want nothing more to do with them? Good grief, no, not at all.
Then we would all be guilty of that same exact brand of indomitable arrogance as our misguided brethren. But, it is fascinating to note the range of separation on this issue from a large number of the not-so-usual suspects, along with my chief complaint here being: ‘Ya might want to rethink the incessant name-calling of a large portion of your respective audiences, pinheads. Why? Well, try this one on for size…
When The “Wacky Fringe” Becomes The Majority
At present, over 19 states in 2011 have enjoined pending legislation, which, if passed, will require physical proof from any presidential candidate in order to be placed upon a voting ticket, and this due directly to Obama’s reluctance to show his birth certificate in the first place. This particular failure to perform by Obama could not be blamed in any way, shape or form on George W. Bush, this time by the way. In fact, about 40% of all state legislatures within the United States are in the process of either passing or meaningfully considering this type of legislation.
Even better than that, on April 26th , one day before Obama’s revelation, USA Today, one of America’s most popular newspapers, indicated that only 38% of all US citizens definitely believed that President Obama was born in the US. Bears repeating, less than 4 in 10 Americans feel certain that Obama was born in the United States. So, the question then becomes “why did the media and the Obamaphibians, not to mention our stalwart conservative turncoats, feel so strongly that the President was certainly born in the US?” Were they privy to some startling bit of evidence that was made unavailable to the American public or was it something else? Elitism perhaps, in deference to the pitchforked, unwashed peasants?
So, do the “conservative brainiacs” among us yet think that this issue is one belonging in the fringe category? If so, who exactly is of the fringe? Perhaps it’s only those who buy their particular Conservatives’ books, of which I am guilty, alas (uh-oh!). But the piece-de-resistance is the fact that these Conservatives have drunkenly set-up camp in the dark fog of misplaced ideological denial and awakened to find their tent pitched deeply within the enemy’s compound.
Sleeping With The Enemy
Bill Maher, Michael Moore, Robert Gibbs, Olbermann, Colbert, Frank Rich, Stewart, Krugman, Pitts, Chris Matthews (who did say “Just show it”), et al, ad nauseum, lay encamped all around them–sleeping with the enemy, as it were. How must that feel to our meandering Conservatives? Perhaps an Elitist tinge of thrill running up a leg? Good on ya’ then, if that’s the case! Look, most of the denial crowd never indicated a strong-held belief that Obama was born in Kenya, or wherever.
What they did state was simply that a preponderous of the evidence seemed to suggest that there might be something to this story, only perpetrated further by Obama’s insistence on providing nothing for two long years, while apologizing for America at every whistlestop. Hobnobbing with Globalists, Communists and virtually every fringe group known to man, while decrying Capitalism at the same time. The Birther question would not be a stretch even with a proven birth certificate, folks.
An interesting sidepoint to this drama would be for each of us to remember back to that wonderful day in which we entered this world. Think about it, do you remember your first day of birth within your respective hospitals? That “memory filled” trip down the birth canal, No? Point in fact being that no one can remember where or when they were actually born; the only thing that most have to draw upon is what someone else has told us or what an innocuous looking slip of paper says (except for good ole’ Krugman), if you get my drift. So, what, exactly, did we find wrong with the alleged proof that Obama did not descend from the heavens? Well, let us count the ways…
The Problems With Obama’s Birth Certificate
Conservative Refocus was one of the first to publish a story indicating that “problems may yet abound.” This due to our experiences of creating or producing a rather healthy amount of graphic images and artwork on a monthly basis. When the White House image was fed onto and displayed across our computer screens, the graphical layering effect was immediately noticeable. Layering is, in essence, a procedure by which two or more disparate images are placed into the same graphic or picture.

It is a practice which is considered normal when doctoring an image to get that Hitler mustache just right on some unsuspecting Liberal’s upper lip, or depositing Rep. Weiner’s head onto some innocent vulture’s ungainly body. You get the picture, no doubt. But in the case of the Obama birth certificate, we actually had various bits and pieces of text and graphics layered one upon the other, which could mean nothing other than the fact that the birth certificate image had been multi-dimensionally layered, in effect doctored, or does it?
We have seen a number of websites offer up countering explanations in which a layering effect can be noticed when a particular type of OCR scan is done to an image. However, this still doesn’t explain why an image, which is considered so terribly important, was not then “flattened” or “merged” or “finished” as most graphical images of importance are–especially if they are to be linked and downloaded by millions of individuals, press organizations, and even, of course, conspiracy theorists. Point in fact, when we scanned an image of my birth certificate, and then reopened it with a typical reader, the scan was not layered in the least. It was simply a two dimensional image where all the parts were equal and present, no layers found.
The Twins Problem
However, the problems do not end there. The Obama certificate was supposedly bound in a volume of certificates. If that were so, then why is the patterned green paper surrounding the bound image unbroken? You can notice where the certificate curves down into the binding of the supposed book and yet the surrounding border of stock green paper appears to be one with the binding. More scanner technicalities, perhaps?
Even another problem, according to author Jerome Corsi in Worldnet Daily, the Nordyke twin dilemma only deepens the mystery. These twins, were born one day after Obama at the same hospital, but were given birth certificate numbers which were sequentially lower than the one given to Obama, who, once again, had been born one day earlier. The assigned numbers should have been a few digits higher. This, despite the fact that the Nordyke twins ascribed certificate numbers were expectantly sequential to one another in birth sequence. Another error perhaps?

The birth certificate numbers for the Nordyke twins were No. 151 – 61 – 10637 and No. 151 – 61 – 10638. The twins were born just minutes of one another in 1961, one day after Obama’s birth. Even despite a span of a sparse five minutes, the twins were still given birth certificate numbers sequential to their times of birth down to the minute. Obama’s certificate, despite having been born on August 4,1961, was given number No. 151 – 61 – 10641, which would have denoted a later birth date in virtually all instances. The twins were even born at the same hospital as Obama, Kapi’ Olani Medical Center, which pales even further when considered with the fact that all certificate numbers are issued by the same office in Oahu, not the hospitals.
The other issue that many saw with the certificate was one of format presented. Nearly all certificates in existence, when communicated in this format, will be in the impression of the Nordyke twins, where the certificate appears much as a microfiche impression from the days prior to digital technology, along with a notarized stamp certifying the certificate’s legitimacy. Does not the President have a certificate much like most individuals, lying around in their desk drawers–where mine has been for the last 25 years?
A Carriage Ride
And yet, the type is also an issue unnoticed, due to an idiosyncrasy native to mechanical typewriters of the time known as carriage rise. Whenever an upper-case letter is typed next to a lower case letter, old-style mechanical typewriters would require that the shift key be pressed, which then lifted the carriage up by about a 12th of an inch so that the upper-case letter would be impressioned rather than the lower.
This would always result in virtually all upper-case letters being positioned noticably higher than the lower case letters next to them. Any middle-aged cleric or grandmother would probably know all about this little idiosyncrasy, while most other individuals would think nothing of it. In the Obama certificate, none of the letters are mounted distinctively higher than any of the others, despite being typed out on a circa 1961 or earlier typewriter. My birth certificate clearly shows this issue across the entire certificate, despite being typed out over one year later.

There are other problems, as well. But the be-all-and-end-all would have to be the registrar’s name, down at the bottom of Obama’s certificate, being U.K. Lelee, sounding much like an arrogant joke more than anything else.
The Born Identity
Finally, as presented many, many times by this website and a number of others, the final question as to Obama’s birth certificate, perhaps being the most telling, is his parentage. The certificate, if we are to consider it bonafide, clearly indicates the fact that Obama’s father’s country of origin is stated as Kenya. We also know that, despite other media attempts to dispel this fact, Barack Obama senior was actually deported by the INS in 1964, having overstayed his temporary US Visa. He was not, it now has been proven, a US citizen in any way, shape or form.
… natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. … children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights. … The country of the fathers is therefore that of the children … in order to be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for, if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country.
*Special thanks to the website I Took The Red Pill
This, therefore, clearly proves that the President is not what the US Constitution defines as a natural born citizen. A natural born citizen is defined as one who is born of two US citizens on US soil. You will see Liberal columnists, and even a few Conservative pundits, rail against this fact, and they will also, idiotically, point to various parts of the Constitution, which defines who is a US citizen, but do not be fooled. There is no argument that the President is a US citizen, of course he is. The argument is that he is not a natural born citizen, and that is where we have them right where they want us, apparently.
The real issue at play with the fact that almost 2/3 rds of all Americans initially doubted or still doubt Obama’s birth origins actually speaks to something far more disturbing than a mere birth certificate. It is, in fact, a symptom that the population has grown extraordinarily cynical and significantly doubtful of what, exactly, their government is trying to achieve to the point of doubting every fact that is claimed.
The fact that Osama Bin Laden was just killed under Obama’s watch may temporarily salve the civil society’s animus, however as America continues its slow economic slide down the rim of the abyss and as costs spiral out of control with no effective private sector growth taking place, the panacea of Bin Laden’s demise will be forgotten in short order. We also wonder how, if everything else is Bush’s fault, this somehow is not.
These same birthers who have been laughed at and reviled by a relatively small minority with extraordinarily large bullhorns will soon become the “Rebirthers,” and that is exactly what is needed, in this nation, right now.
